Will be visiting the Buksefjord hydroelectric power plant the first week of my stay to do yet another positive story about climate change in Greenland and continue to Nuuk where I stay until May 30.  Should anyone need photographs or video from the far north, I have open time slots during the week in Nuuk between May 23 – 30.

I will be taking part in the Parker Harris group exhibition at the Royal Geographical Society in London on 1 Kensington Gore between 9 April – 3 May 2013 and again at their summer exhibition tour to Grizedale Visitor Centre, Grizedale Forest, Lake District.  The photograph below showing a group of kids on the Tulun islands was shortlisted for Environmental Photogeapher of the Year 2013  and will be exhibited at the two venues along 52 other photographs competing for the title. The winning photograph will be announced on 9 April, when the London exhibition opens.

Once again the story about Greenlands thriving potato farming business earns honorable mention in an environmental category. The 2012 International Photography Awards picked the photographs showing a positive effect of climate change for the farmers in the southern fjords of Greenland among 18,000 submissions from 104 countries across the globe. The entry called  “Greenland – the new Frontier of Farming”  is found online here.

The print showing the cliff divers from Acapulco (Mexico) was torn down by strong winds during the first days, but was quickly put back up with help from friends and family. It meassures 7,3 x 11 meters and hangs 45 meters above ground – the height from which the cliff divers jump. The photograph is part of my Mexico collection.
